“NYC urologist sexually abused 16-year-old high school intern, lawsuit claims”

A Manhattan urologist allegedly sexually abused a male high school intern for two years — all under the pretense of educating him, a new complaint charges.

Dr. Darius Paduch, 55, in 2015 selected a 16-year-old high school student to be his intern at NewYork Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, where Paduch practiced urology, according to a Manhattan Supreme Court lawsuit filed Monday.

The teen — who was both Paduch’s patient and intern — was sexually abused “multiple times” by the doctor from September 2015 through July 2017, the court papers claim. The teen was 16 when he began the internship.

“Defendant Dr. Darius Paduch used the internship, and his position of authority, to sexually abuse Plaintiff under the guise of tutelage,” the suit charges.

Paduch, who currently works for Northwell Health in Great Neck, NY, allegedly played gay porn for the teen pupil — and told him that as part of “medical treatment,” he had to give the intern erections, the filing alleges.

And “under the guise” of teaching the student, Paduch had the teen watch him “masturbate a patient,” the lawsuit claims.

Paduch also “demand[ed]” the youngster text him videos of himself masturbating, the court documents claim.

The abuse caused the student to suffer physical and emotional injuries including humiliation, depression, anxiety and family turmoil, the lawsuit alleges.

The accuser has filed suit against both the doctor and NY Presbyterian, claiming the hospital was negligent in allowing the abuse to occur.

The alleged victim, who now lives in Barnegat Township, NJ, is suing for unspecified damages.

Lawyer Mallory Allen told The Post the former intern “has been deeply traumatized by his experience and is still coping with that trauma.”

“This lawsuit seeks accountability for the serious wrongs done to our client at the hands of a trusted figure — someone who was supposed to be treating and caring for him — when he was a child,” Allen said.

The lawsuit describes how, according to Allen, the doctor took “advantage of his position” and how the hospital “failed in its duty to protect the children in its care when it ignored the warning signs that Dr. Paduch was a danger to children.”

“We expect that our client is not the only child seriously harmed by the acts of the defendants,” Allen alleged.

Neither NY Presbyterian nor the doctor immediately returned requests for comment.
