“#NYC public school teacher charged with DWI, cops say”
A city public school teacher was arrested for driving drunk on Staten Island, cops said.
Tangela Harrell, 53, was arrested in the Midland Beach section around 12:45 a.m. Saturday after failing to stop at a stop sign and veering between lanes, police said.
Cops charged Harrell with DWI, failing to use a designated lane and stopping at a stop sign and having inadequate mirrors, authorities said.
An NYPD spokesman said Harrell was arrested at the corner of Edison Street and Lincoln Avenue.
The Department of Education did not immediately return an email seeking comment.
