#Nights with a Cat Season 3 Unveils New Trailer, Theme Song & More Cast, Begins Streaming December 4

A new PV trailer has been unveiled for the upcoming third season of Nights with a Cat, which previews the new theme song and two additional cast members. The anime will begin streaming on YouTube on December 4, 2024.
The two new cast members featured in the 31-second trailer include Aoi Yuki as the cats Chikuwa and Konbu and Takuya Eguchi as Miyama-senpai.
The main theme song for season three previewed in the video is “Ai Sazu ni wa Irarenai, ” performed by singer Kashitaro Ito. Ito performed the theme songs for the previous two seasons of the series.
A celebratory visual was also released for the unofficial Japanese holiday “Good Nyan Nyan Day” on November 22, 2024.
The second season of Nights with a Cat premiered on March 8, 2023 and concluded on November 15, 2023. The first season aired on Japanese television from August 4, 2022 to September 22, 2022. It was then streamed on YouTube from October 12, 2022 to January 11, 2023.
All 60 episodes of the anime’s first two seasons are available to stream on YouTube with English subtitles.
Previous staff members that worked on season one and two include Minoru Ashina (Isekai Quartet) as director and screenwriter, Minoru Takehara (Isekai Quartet) as character designer and animation director, and Kana Utatane (Akebi’s Sailor Uniform) as music composer. Studio PuYUKAI is in charge of the animation production.
The anime’s main voice cast stars Satoshi Hino as Fuuta-kun, Atsumi Tanezaki as Pii-chan, and Ayahi Takagaki as Kyuruga.
Kyuryu Z’s original web manga series was first released on the author’s Twitter account in December 2019, before being serialized by Kadokawa in the Comic Bridge magazine on October 29, 2020. Six tankobon volumes have been released as of May 2024, with a seventh volume set for release on January 22, 2025.
Yen Press releases the Nights with a Cat manga series in English, describing the main synopsis as:
