It was announced at the "PriPara & Kirrato Pri☆Chan Winter Live 2020" concert held at Makuhari Messe's Event Hall in Chiba Prefecture yesterday that the TV anime Kiratto Pri☆Chan will enter the "Queen's Grand Prix" arc in April 2021. An announcement PV screened at the concert is now streamed on the franchise's official YouTube channel.
Following the very successful PriPara series aired for four seasons (including Idol Time PriPara) from 2014 to 2018, Kiratto Pri☆Chan, the latest installment of the long-running Pretty Series co-produced by Tatsunoko Productions in Japan and DONGWOO A&E in Korea premiered in April 2018 and has entered its third season since April 2020.
In the ongoing story, the Pri☆Chan idols have been competing in the "Princess Cup" in each area of the newly-build VR amusement park "Pri☆Chan Land." The idols who win the competitions and become princesses in more areas can become "Illuminage Queen" and hold the best parade at the Pri☆Chan Castle. The announcement PV introduces the winner of each area and says that the queen of "Pri☆Chan Land" will be decided in the next arc "Queen's Grand Prix."
