#New Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S Trailer Reveals July 7 Premiere

A new trailer for Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S has been released, revealing more scenes for the anime, a longer preview of fhána’s “Ai no Supreme” opening song, and a July 7 premiere date.

The previous main trailer for the Kyoto Animation-produced anime was released in February, while its announcement was made in January.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S is a sequel to 2017’s Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid. Both are based on the manga series by Coolkyousinnjya, which also inspired a currently airing short form ONA called MiniDora (Mini Dragon). Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid S‘s story is set after the first season and sees the appearance of a new dragon character. 

The staff includes Tatsuya Ishihara (Amagi Brilliant Park) as director, Nobuaki Maruki (K-ON!) as chief animation director, Yuka Yamada (Asteroid in Love) as series composer, Miku Kadowaki (Tsurune) as character designer, Hiroki Ueda (Hyouka) as director of photography, Azumi Hata (Violet Evergarden) as color designer, and Masumi Itō (Mobile Suit Gundam AGE) as music composer. The late Yasuhiro Takemoto, who directed the first season, is credited as series director. Lantis is handling the music production. 

Meanwhile, the cast members include Mutsumi Tamura as Kobayashi-san, Yuki Kuwahara as Tohru, Maria Naganawa as Kanna, Yuki Takada as Elma, Minami Takahashi as Lucoa, Tomomi Mineuchi as Iluru, Daisuke Ono as Fafnir, Yuichi Nakamura as Makoto Takitani, Emi Kato as Riko Saikawa, Yuko Goto as Georgie, and Natsuori Ishihara as Shota Magado.

Crunchyroll describes the first season as: 

Miss Kobayashi is your average office worker who lives a boring life, alone in her small apartment–until she saves the life of a female dragon in distress. The dragon, named Tohru, has the ability to magically transform into an adorable human girl (albeit with horns and a long tail!), who will do anything to pay off her debt of gratitude, whether Miss Kobayashi likes it or not. With a very persistent and amorous dragon as a roommate, nothing comes easy, and Miss Kobayashi’s normal life is about to go off the deep end!
