The upcoming Love All Play badminton anime has received a new trailer that offers a peek at the show’s main cast of characters. The anime is set to premiere in Japan on April 2.

Love All Play is based on the novel series by Asami Koseki, which consists of four novels published from 2011 to 2014. The first volume centers on Ryou, who began playing badminton in middle school by chance. Ryou receives an offer to the prestigious Yokohama Minato High School, where he meets multiple idiosyncratic teammates. A special republication of the first volume was released in August 2021, the month of the anime’s announcement.

The staff credits include Hiroshi Takeuchi (Blade & Soul co-director) as director, Tomoko Konparu (Libra of Nil Admirari) and the production committee as series composers, Riko Kaneda (Let’s Make a Mug Too animation director) as character designer, Scott MacDonald (She Professed Herself Pupil of the Wise Man) as art director, Hajime Komori (Genie Family 2020) as color designer, Miyabi Amada (ODDTAXI) as photography director, Yuuki Hayashi (Backflip!!) as music composer. 

Kaneda, Shinobu Ookawa (ODDTAXI), Yasukawa Shouji (Restaurant to Another World Season 2 character designer et al.), Mai Kuwabara (Restaurant to Another World Season 2), and Taka Satou (Restaurant to Another World Season 2) are credited as chief animation directors.. Nippon Animation and OLM are the animation production studios.

Meanwhile, the cast includes Natsuki Hanae as Ryou Mizushima, Youhei Azakami as Shohei Sakaki, Makoto Furukawa as Koki Matsuda, Kensho Ono as Taichi Higashiyama, Tetsuya Kakihara as Yoji Higashiyama, Yuuki Kaji as Akira Uchida, Minako Kotobuki as Rika Mizushima, and Kazuya Nakai as Hitoshi Ebihara.
