Tsukasa Houjou‘s City Hunter manga is getting another live-action movie, this time from Netflix. Yuuichi Satou (Na mo Naki Sekai no End Roll) is directing the film with Ryohei Suzuki playing the lead role of Ryo Saeba.

City Hunter was previously adapted into a 1993 live-action movie with Jackie Chan in the lead. The manga has also inspired a 2018 Chinese adaptation and a 2019 French adaptation.

The Shueisha-published manga ran from 1985 to 1991, while two spin-offs from other manga artists began in 2017 and 2018 respectively. An anime TV series adaptation aired in 1987 and was followed by a few additional seasons, TV specials, and movies. A new City Hunter anime movie will premiere in 2023.
