#New Anime Production Company Aurora Animation To Be Established on April 1

Yoyogi Animation Academy has announced a new animation production company called Aurora Animation, which it is co-founding with anime planning and production company Starry Cube and Ryu Nakayama‘s Andraft.

Aurora Animation will be established on April 1 JST, and it will be located in the Kanda-Misakichou district of Tokyo’s Chiyoda ward. Its president will be Daiki Hashimoto, the president and principal of Yoyogi Animation Academy.

The intent is to create a supportive environment for creators and to allow for the creation of high-quality and creative works. The company also has an eye towards the international market in addition to Japan.

In a statement, Hashimoto mentioned that they’d witnessed recent changes in the industry and said that in order to provide the education necessary for the future, it was vital to better understand the needs of creators and studios and to prepare a place where things can be put into practice. 

Yoyogi Animation Academy was founded in 1978 and has a presence in Tokyo, Ikebukuro, Osaka, and other locations. Aside from education, it is also involved with the entertainment business (via activities like idol group management and event organizing) and facility management.
