#‘Neon’ Trailer Sees Three Friends Hustling to Make it Big in Miami’s Music Industry

The hustle isn’t easy, but three friends are committed to doing it together in Netflix‘s new Daddy Yankee-produced series, Neon.

The streamer released the trailer for the upcoming music comedy on Tuesday, which is set to feature a number of cameo appearances including Brray, Jon Z, LYANNO, Jowell, Ken-Y, Jota Rosa, Villano Antillano and Daddy Yankee.

The series follows Tyler Dean Flores as Santi, a rising reggaeton artist who, alongside some old friends — Ness (Emma Ferreira) and Felix (Jordan Mendoza) — from small town Florida, and a brand new one, A&R rep Mia (Courtney Taylor), attempts to leave his mark on the Miami music scene.

The eight-episode comedy is a look at the hilarious and sometimes even harrowing realities of trying to make your dreams come true — whether it’s being the biggest star in reggaeton, a music manager, or a music video director — in the music industry.

The show hails from co-creators Shea Serrano and Max Searle, with Searle also serving as showrunner. Serrano and Searle are also among Neon’s team of executive producers, alongside SB Projects, Anne Clements and Daddy Yankee.

Rich with original music, Tainy, Lex Borrero, Ivan Rodriguez, from Ntertain and Neon16, and collectively known as Tainy & One Six, are the upcoming series executive music producers. One Six of Neon16 and Ntertain, and Joe Rodriguez and Javier Nuno of Indice also serve as music supervisors.

Neon is set to release on Netflix Oct. 19.
