#NBA YoungBoy's YouTube Channel Wiped After Years Of Streaming Dominance

NBA YoungBoy has reigned as one of the more popular acts on YouTube despite little to no radio airplay or a high number of monthly listens on streaming platforms such as Apple Music or Spotify.

But a recent search of his YouTube channel produces zero music videos, although no explanation was given for the scrub. The only placeholders are the audio recordings from projects such as Sincerely, Kentrell, Top, 38 Baby 2, AI YoungBoy 2 and others.

YoungBoy’s dominance on YouTube extends beyond his 10.1 million subscribers. In 2020, the Wall Street Journal referred to NBA YoungBoy as the “biggest artist on YouTube,” citing his release of 11 music videos from 2018 and 2019 alone, which cracked 100 million views on the platform.  At present time, he’s still the No. 1 artist on the platform with the late Young Dolph, Rod Wave, Adele and Drake.

The removal of YoungBoy’s videos on the popular streaming platform comes less than two months after his manager Alex Junnier claimed YouTube wouldn’t support Sincerely, Kentrell due to the Baton Rouge native’s image in the public eye. ‘

“YouTube told us they can’t promote YB because of his image,” Junnier wrote on his Instagram story in a since deleted post. “Weak ass platform. Your #1 artist 3 years in a row.”
