#Naomi Osaka ‘creeped out’ after getting shamed for bikini photos

It’s Naomi Osaka’s social media feed and she’ll post what she wants to.

The 22-year-old tennis star — who frequently shares glam and swimsuit shots on Instagram — hit back at critics Sunday on Twitter over remarks made about Osaka sustaining an “innocent image” off the court.

“I just wanna say it’s creeping me out how many people are commenting @ me to maintain my ‘innocent image’ and ‘don’t try to be someone your not,’” Osaka tweeted. “You don’t know me, I’m 22, I wear swimsuits to the pool. Why do you feel like you can comment on what I can wear?”

Osaka, who won consecutive Grand Slam singles titles at the 2018 US Open and the 2019 Australian Open, posted a pair of bikini photos earlier this month, prompting a flurry of “fire” emojis from some followers — notably Hailey Baldwin — while others critiqued elsewhere.

“Soo, not pregnant.?” one follower commented.

“Someone is growing up,” another said.

In a separate image, in which Osaka posed in a yellow sweatshirt, blue bottoms, and Nike sneakers, one follower griped, “I don’t get why you would post half naked pics of yourself. Have some class… you don’t need to do this.”

Despite some off-putting remarks, Osaka is moving forward, putting the focus Monday on her accessories game.

“sneakers… you wanna talk about sneakers?” Osaka captioned her latest post.

Osaka’s sneaker snap has amassed over 50,000 “likes” as of Wednesday.
