Mori Calliope and Tokoyami Towa Make Their Debut in “Tower Of God: New World”

Tower of God: New World, a collectible RPG from Netmarble, has recently tapped hololive talents Mori Calliope and Tokoyami Towa for the game’s latest update. Beginning on April 9, players of the game can recruit the two hololive members as playable teammates and for several limited-time events.

As part of the latest update, fans can find “SSR+ [hololive] Mori Calliope” (Yellow element, Assassin, Scout) and “SSR+ [hololive] Tokoyami Towa” (Yellow element, Support, Wave Controller).

In “Tower of God: New World”, Mori Calliope is the Grim Reaper’s first apprentice who decided to become a VTuber to harvest souls. Tokoyami Towa appears as a young devil who is visiting human society to gain experience and to develop her skills. 

As part of the game update’s promotion, the Tower of God: New World game is rolling out several limited-time events to commemorate the collaboration with hololive, available through April 23, which include:

• hololive Collab Story Event “We May Be Reaper & Demon, but We’ll Be Maids!”: This special story event features the two hololive members working at a maid cafe. Players can enjoy their story to receive in-game items, which can be exchanged for valuable growth materials including Tower’s Blessing Break Stones.

• hololive Collab Special Summon: Players will receive a higher chance of summoning the hololive collab teammates.

• hololive Collab Daily Festa: Clear daily missions to acquire generous gifts, ranging from “[hololive] Mori Calliope” and “[hololive] Tokoyami Towa” to “hololive Collab Summon Tickets (x100).”

The game is one of many titles based on the South Korean manhwa Tower of God. It was written and illustrated by S.I.U., serialized by Naver Webtoon since June 2010. An anime adaptation was announced in August 2019. The first season was produced by Telecom Animation Film and aired from April to June 2020, while the second season was produced by The Answer Studio and aired from July to December 2024 for two cours.

Crunchyroll is streaming the series, describing the anime as:
