Capcom will release a demo for the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion for Switch and PC via Steam on June 14, the company announced. A new trailer introducing the “Jungle” locale and returning monsters Espinas and Gore Magala was also released.

Additionally, Capcom confirmed that the first free Title Update for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak will launch in August and add huntable monster Lucent Nargacuga, rare species monsters, special species monsters, and the new locale “Forlon Arena.” A second title update will follow this fall, which will add rare species monsters, subspecies monsters, and powered-up monsters. A third title update adding will follow this winter, which will add special species monsters and powered-up monsters. Further updates will follow in 2023.

New Trailer

Monster Hunter series Producer Ryozo Tsujimoto opened Capcom Showcase 2022 with an illuminating new trailer for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak. The video featured a revitalization of the Jungle area from the second generation of Monster Hunter games, welcomed back Espinas the Thorn Wyvern from Monster Hunter Frontier, and saw the frenzied approach of the flagship beast from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate, Gore Magala.

Demo

Hunters can pursue an early taste of the action when a free demo for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak emerges shortly after 7pm PDT tomorrow, June 14, 2022, for Switch and Steam. Digital pre-orders are now available on both platforms and come packed with a bonus Palamute and Palico layered armor set.

Title Updates

Hunters eager to track down the next content update beyond the June 30, 2022 launch can anticipate Lucent Nargacuga the Moon Swift Wyvern returning in August with the iconic Forlorn Arena. Beyond that, more content is planned for Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak this fall, winter, and into next year.

The Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion is due out for Switch and PC via Steam on June 30. Monster Hunter Rise is available now for Switch and PC via Steam.
