The official Twitter for KADOKAWA’s Gundam Ace magazine announced yesterday that the first volume of the Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury novel had already gotten its second reprint, even though it was three days before the official release date of February 25. The first reprint was reported on February 6.

The novel series is written by sci-fi writer Yuya Takashima, who has also served as sci-fi advisor for the anime, and includes elements that could not be depicted in the anime, such as the characters’ deep thoughts and feelings, and scenes in which they reveal their true emotions. The 280-page first volume is based on the TV anime’s first four episodes (episode 0 “Prologue” to episode 3 “Guel’s Pride”) and also includes an original episode about Miorine’s past groom.

The first season of the latest Gundam TV series, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury was aired for 12 episodes in Japan from October 2, 2022, to January 8, 2023. All episodes, including the episode 0 “PROLOGUE,” are available on Crunchyroll for its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS. The second season is set to premiere in April 2023.
