Okasaki, best known as Rimuru Tempest in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime anime franchise, made her solo singer debut with her first single “Happiness” that was released on September 25, 2021, and ranked 25th in Oricon’s weekly single charts.
As her second single, “Petals” is set to be released in Japan on November 3. This is the first time for her to sing a theme song for an anime series as a solo singer. In this music video, the story unfolds in the space of one room. With a sparkling pop tune, she plays with animal puppets and moves freely in the colorful spaces of green, orange, blue, and yellow. And she shows her dance performance again, which was so well received in her first video “Happiness.”
She says on Twitter, “From the appearance of Kinkurin (King Amusement Creative’s official mascot character) in the beginning, it’s already a world of cuteness… I was able to spend time in a dreamy room! Please watch it many times!”
The TV anime adaptation of Wakame Konbu’s comedy manga The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated!, produced by Silver Link, premiered in Japan on August 1, 2021, and has been simulcast on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
