The full cast list has dropped for the upcoming production, which was announced last month. At the time, it was annonced that Akinori Nakagawa would be returning to the role of Tetsuro Hoshino, with Sayaka Kanda newly cast as Maetel.
Joining them will be stars from across the world of anime, theatrical, and live-action entertainment. Ryuji Sato, whose rise from anime-based musicals to TV and movie stardom has earned him the title “The Prince of 2.5D,” will be playing the villainous Count Mecha. Enka singer and notable railroad enthusiast Yuuki Tomonaga will play the conductor, and former AKB48 member Ayaka Umeda will play 999’s on-board waitress, Crystal Claire.
Ryosuke Miura (Shingo Izumi in Kamen Rider OOO) takes on the role of Captain Harlock, accompanied by singer Masaaki Fujioka as Tochiro and Takarazuka star Kairi Hokusho as Queen Emeraldas. Singer/songwriter Yoko Yazawa returns to the role of machine human Ryuzu for the first time since 2018. And, last but not least, JAM Project founding member and Pokémon star Rica Matsumoto will appear as Queen Promethium.
