As reported back in November 2021, 81 Produce, one of the major voice actor agencies based in Tokyo, has been holding “SUN AUDITION – Let’s Create Your Story! A Story of You Becoming a Voice Actor Artist,” an open audition that aims to find members of a new voice actress unit.

After four rounds of screening over a six-month period starting on November 27, 2021, its eight winners who were chosen from among 3,347 applicants were finally announced on July 25. They will belong to 81 Produce and will start their activities as voice actresses from now on. A special dance music video to introduce them is now streamed on the project’s official YouTube channel.

The eight members’ debut event is scheduled to be held for free at the Sunshine City Fountain Plaza in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, on August 20 from 4:00 p.m. (JST).
