“Mark Zuckerberg’s Horizon Worlds Doesn’t Look Impressive At All! » OmniGeekEmpire”

Mark Zuckerberg’s Horizon Worlds was something that I loosely followed. However, hearing that Mark Zuckerberg’s Horizon Worlds is being released in Spain and France I decided to take a look at it. It was not impressive at all and I worry that this may be a failed project.

Horizon Worlds is a free virtual reality, an online video game with an integrated game creation system developed and published by Meta Platforms for Oculus Rift S and Oculus Quest 2. It was released in the U.S. and Canada to people 18 years or older on December 9, 2021 after an invite-only beta phase.

Earlier this week Horizon Worlds was announced to be available in more countries. Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg promoted the event by posting a “selfie” of his in-game avatar in front of a digital Eiffel tower. And to be honest, the graphics were comparable to what you’d expect from a new concept alpha build and not from a multi-billion dollar company. After being roasted to oblivion, Zuckerberg then posted what I assume is damage control for Horizon Worlds.

Honestly, I’m still in doubt about this Horizon Worlds, in whether or not this will even catch on in the way Zuckerberg thinks it will. The picture he posted on his Instagram is certainly better but as a gamer, we all know that screenshot/concept art never really tells the whole story. As Meta, they gotta be sure to put their best foot forward, considering most of the world hates them for various reasons. Nevertheless, at least Mark is listening to feedback so that’s good.
