Man fatally shot during dispute in Brooklyn, cops say

A 22-year-old man was fatally shot in the chest during a dispute outside a Brooklyn housing project Sunday morning, cops said.

Russell Forrest was shot multiple times, including at least once in the chest, around 1:30 a.m. in front of the Albany Houses on Bergen Street in Crown Heights, according to police.

He was taken to Kings County Hospital but didn’t survive.

Cops said Forrest had a dispute with the gunman before he was shot. They had no further information on what the dispute was over.

Police took two people into custody, but made no immediate arrests, police sources said. It was unclear if the people taken into custody were questioned and released or still in police custody.

No firearm was recovered.
