Crunchyroll has announced an expected release date for Lupine III: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine…

Quit 10 months ago KAZÉ Anime (now part of Crunchyroll) to publish a first series from the «Lupin III.» universe in German. Last year, a German-language simulcast was added to the Crunchyroll catalog for the first time with “Lupin III.: Part 6”. Previously only TV specials, crossovers and films with German dubbing had appeared from the franchise. Before Part 1 and Part 6 of the main series appear on disc, a prequel series for the six seasons of «Lupin III.» is coming up.

With «Lupin III.: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine» a 13-part prequel anime was created in 2012 with a focus on Fujiko Mine, but where her later companions and adversaries are also represented. According to Crunchyroll, there will be 13 episodes probably on January 12, 2023 on DVD and Blu-ray appear. For this short series, they even decided against a split release and are therefore releasing it in a complete edition with all 13 episodes out of here. The German complete edition is already on Amazon.de pre-order.

After this prequel series Character Designer and Animation Director Takeshi Koike contributed 3 continuing films Directed and illustrated his style more times.
