#LI gang charged in sweeping indictment, including teen in shooting outside Zeldin home

“LI gang charged in sweeping indictment, including teen in shooting outside Zeldin home”

Long Island gang members who love to boast they’re “Everybody Killers’’ unleashed a reign of terror that included the shooting outside Rep. Lee Zeldin’s home — and even the theft of  French bulldogs to fund their crimes, authorities said Monday.

The suspected teenage triggerman in the Zeldin shooting, Noah Green, is among 18 alleged members of the gang named in a 148-count indictment unsealed by Suffolk County District Attorney Raymond Tierney charging the street crew with murder, attempted murder, carjackings and thefts.

Green, 18, had been indicted Nov. 7 in the Zeldin shooting, but only for gun possession.

Authorities said the gang called itself “No Fake Love,” or “NFL,” and that many of its members were affiliated with the notorious Bloods and Crips gangs.

They “pride themselves as ‘Everybody Killers,’ ” the DA’s office said in a press release.

“True to their moniker as ‘Everybody Killers,’ members and associates of NFL allegedly participated in and agreed to commit criminal conduct including, but not limited to, murder, armed robberies, armed carjackings, larcenies and shootings against rival gang members, as well as innocent civilians,” the statement said.

The gang terrorized Mastic, Shirley, Bellport and Riverhead, taking orders from two jailed gang leaders, officials said.

Authorities said their investigation dates back to October 2021 and covered 31 separate incidents, including six shootings, six armed robberies, the theft of 15 vehicles such as a Mercedes and two BMWs — and the December 2021 murder of a man.

The victim, Jorge Mauricio Sevilla Barrera, made the fatal mistake of getting into an argument with one of the gang members and his associate in the parking lot of the Minx nightclub in Farmingville.

“This large-scale takedown utilized precision policing to target drivers of violence responsible for major crimes wreaking havoc on Suffolk County communities,” Suffolk County Police Chief Rodney Harrison said in a statement Monday.

The indictment also comes after the Oct. 9 gang-related shooting outside Zeldin’s Shirley home that left two men wounded — and had his teen daughters running for cover.

Police said the two shooting victims fled into Zeldin’s front yard as they were being fired at, with one of the 17-year-olds hit in the chest and the other grazed in the arm.

Green faces attempted murder charges in the case, authorities said Monday.

He had been driving a stolen 2022 Honda CRV past Zeldin’s house when he spotted three rival gang members and fired at them through the driver’s window, hitting two of them in the chest, according to authorities.

“The victims survived the shooting,” prosecutors said in a press release. “Afterwards Green boasted about committing the shooting to fellow gang members.”

Green even posted a pic on social media proudly displaying their handguns, cops said.

Zeldin, a Republican who lost his bid to unseat Gov. Kathy Hochul on Election Day, decried the incident as a symptom of lax crime laws in the Empire State.

“Crime is out of control,” he had said in a statement after the shooting. “Like so many New Yorkers, crime literally made its way to our front doorstep.

“There was blood in the rock right next to the porch.”

Some of the gang members also carjacked a Lyft driver in Wading River in April — with two of them pointing their guns at the terrified operator’s head as they repeated, “Shoot him!,” officials said.

One of the fiends laughed at the victim during the cruel encounter, dashcam video shows.

The criminals ended up tossing the driver out of the car and zooming off.

Gang members also carjacked a Mercedes from its female owner after putting a gun to her head in May in Wantagh, authorities said.

On July 24, three members of “NFL” also stole seven French bulldogs from a Suffolk County home, including six puppies. While the mother was recovered, the pups were not.

“These defendants were involved in murder, shootings, robberies, carjackings and the recovery of eight loaded firearms, all of which placed our communities in great danger,” Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder said in a statement.

Ten of the defendants were taken into custody Thursday, authorities said. Seven were already in custody, including Green. One indicted suspect remains at large.

In addition to the DA’s office, the Suffolk County Sheriff’s Office, Suffolk County police, US Marshals Service New York/New Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Nassau County Police Department took part in the investigation, authorities said.
