#Let’s Make A Mug Too Season Two Announced For October

A second season for pottery anime Let’s Make A Mug Too has been announced with a new visual. It will premiere in October.

The first season of Let’s Make A Mug Too aired during the Spring 2021 anime season with 12 episodes. Crunchyroll describes it as:

Together with her father, who had quit his salaryman job, Toyokawa Himeno moves to Gifu prefecture’s Tajimi city. That’s the city where her mother is from, whom she had lost when she was still young. Himeno is now attending her mother’s alma mater, where her classmate Kukuri Mika invites her to tag along to a special place. That place turns out to be the pottery club! There, she learns for the first time that her mother was a legendary potter, and is consequently pulled into the world of pottery.

The first season’s staff includes Jun Kamiya (Blue Seed, Kingdom) as director, Naruhisa Arakawa (Twin Star Exorcists) as scriptwriter and supervisor, and Ayano Yoshioka (Fullmetal Alchemist: The Sacred Star of Milos) as character designer and chief animation director. Nippon Animation produced the anime.

The cast members include Minami Tanaka as Himeno Toyokawa, Yū Serizawa as Mika Kukuri, Yūki Wakai as Naoko Naruse, and Rina Honnizumi as Toko Aoki.

Let’s Make A Mug Too is based on the manga by Osamu Kashiwara, which began in 2012. A second manga based on the anime adaptation began serialization on Manga Cross in January 2021. The anime includes a live-action component featuring the story’s setting of Tajimi.
