Let’s Go Karaoke! Reveals 2nd New Trailer Featuring Main Theme Song & Visual

A second new main trailer has been revealed for the upcoming Let’s Go Karaoke! TV anime series, which previews the show’s theme song “HOWL.” The series will premiere in Japan on July 24, 2025. 

The anime’s main theme song “HOWL” is performed by singer-songwriter Ayumu Imazu. 

Additionally, the official website and Twitter/X of Let’s Go Karaoke! and Captivated, by You released two new visuals for the respective anime series, with the latter set to premiere in Japan on August 21, 2025. 

Asami Nakatani (Yohane the Parhelion: Sunshine in the Mirage) is directing both series, with Yukiko Tsukahara (Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 9 co-director) as assistant director, Mai Matsuura (The Stories of Girls Who Couldn’t Be Magicians, King of Prism by Pretty Rhythm) as character designer, and Takuro Iga (OSHI NO KO) as music composer. Doga Kobo is handling the animation production for both series.  

The main voice cast for Let’s Go Karaoke! stars Shun Horie as Satomi Oka, Daisuke Ono as Kyoji Narita, and Shinnosuke Tokudome as Wada. 

Meanwhile, the main voice cast of Captivated, by You includes:

• • Koki ​Uchiyama as Jouji Ema

Yama Wayama’s Let’s Go Karaoke! and Captivated, by You manga are both single-volume titles published under Enterbrain’s Beam Comics imprint, after originally being published as doujin. Yen Press releases both manga in English for North America.

Captivated, by You was first published as a doujin on February 17, 2019, before being republished by Enterbrain on August 10, 2019. It inspired a 5-episode live-action TV drama in 2021.

Let’s Go Karaoke! debuted as a doujin on August 25, 2019 and was released by Enterbrain on September 12, 2020. It inspired a one-shot manga sequel in 2020 and a live-action film in January 2024.

The president of the chorus club, Satomi Oka, is approached by a yakuza named Kyoji Narita. Kyoji’s yakuza group holds a customary karaoke competition, and whoever earns the title of worst singer must get a tattoo. Since he was asked to be Kyoji’s singing teacher, Satomi has no choice but to go along with these practice sessions. Brought together by karaoke, where will Satomi and Kyoji end up?

Captivated, by You 

Joji Ema goes to an all-boys school. After the school’s athletic festival, Ema’s eccentric classmate Miyoshi Hayashi starts acting bizarrely towards him. Yuichi Medaka goes to a coeducational high school. He ends up sitting behind Akira Nikaido, an unsettling student most of the school doesn’t like. Explore an omnibus of stories about what it’s like to be young.
