#Get Ready for My Happy Marriage Season 2 By Watching Its Opening Animation Early

KADOKAWA has uploaded the opening animation for My Happy Marriage Season 2 ahead of the show’s January 6, 2025 JST premiere.

The opening song is “Shiawase na Yakusoku” by riria.. The staff credits for the animation are currently unknown.

My Happy Marriage Season 2 will continue the story of Miyo and Kiyoka, whose romance was first shown (in anime form) in the 2023 first season. An OVA was released in between the seasons in November 2024.

The anime adapts the KADOKAWA-published light novel series written by Akumi Agitogi and illustrated by Tsukiho Tsukioka. Yen Press describes the premise of the books as:

IS THIS MARRIAGE A BLESSING? OR A CURSE?

​Born talentless to a noble family famous for their supernatural abilities, Miyo Saimori is forced into an existence of servitude by her abusive stepmother. When Miyo finally comes of marriageable age, though, her hopes of being whisked away to a better life crumble after she discovers her fiancé’s identity: Kiyoka Kudou, a commander apparently so cold and cruel that his previous would-be brides all fled within three days of their engagements. With no home to return to, Miyo resigns herself to her fate—and soon finds that her pale and beautiful husband-to-be is anything but the monster she expected. As they slowly open their hearts to each other, both realize the other may be their chance at finding true love and happiness.

The light novel series, which is published under the Fujimi L Bunko label, began publication in January 2019 and has eight volumes as of March 2024. There is a Square Enix-published manga drawn by Rito Kosaka and a live-action movie adaptation.
