When you’ve got wheat to sell, who do you call up to make your commercial? The legendary Studio Ghibli, of course, giving the task to its famed character designer and animator Katsuya Kondo. For the first time in seven years, Studio Ghibli has released a brand new commercial for Nisshin Seifun Group, the fourth in a series that began in 2010, for their wheat-growing and manufacturing sectors.

Katsuya Kondo, who directed and animated the Zen – Grogu and Dust Bunnies short for Disney+, did the same for the latest Konyara commercial, set around the mascot that Studio Ghibli created for the company. 

The official website for the Konyara character lists the rest of the staff as well as showcase the storyboards and other in-development material for the other three shorts. The commercial itself will be broadcast across Japan from today, letting people young and old bask in the adorableness.
