Future Hall of Famer Kawhi Leonard keeps finding way to impress the NBA world – and that is not limited just to those watching from the couch.

With less than two minutes left in Monday night’s game against the Nuggets, Denver star Jamal Murray saw an opening and drove to the basket. Leonard rejected him at the rim, but he didn’t use his arm. On replay review, the only thing that got in the way of the ball and the basket was Leonard’s middle finger.

The block was a crucial moment in the game, and the Clippers were able to hang on to win 113-107 to take a 2-1 lead in the Western Conference semifinals. After the game, Leonard’s teammates and coaches were awe-struck by the awesome play.

“That’s an extra long middle finger,” Clippers guard Paul George said after the game. “Like, it kept growing or something. That’s Kawhi, man.”

“That play by Kawhi was amazing,” coach Doc Rivers said. “I didn’t know it was with one finger. I thought he just blocked it, but it was impressive. I didn’t even know where he came from.”

Leonard led the Toronto Raptors to their first NBA championship in history last season. After moving west to join the Clippers in the offseason, he is inching towards the chance to repeat.
