#Karriem Riggins and Madlib share new track/video “Otis’ Tambourine”

It’s the third single from YHWH is LOVE, their second collaborative LP as Jahari Massamba Unit.

Madlib and Karriem Riggins are closing in on the release of their second joint project as Jahari Massamba Unit. YHWH is LOVE — the follow-up to their 2020 collaborative debut LP, Pardon My French — is due out March via Riggins’s own label, Law of Rhythm Records. And its third single, “Otis’ Tambourine,” is out today (February 22) alongside a music video.
With each new track they release, Riggins and Madlib further prove their natural, easy-flowing chemistry. Like “Stomping Gamay” and “Massamba Afundance,” its predecessors on YHWH’s release cycle, “Otis’ Tambourine” is an entirely groove-based affair, with Madlib’s carefree production riffing on Riggins’s deceptively laid-back drumming. Together, they weave with remarkable precision through a pocket of their own design.
