#Kageki Shoujo!! Anime Gets New PV, Reveals Ending Theme Song Artist

The official website and Twitter account for the anime adaptation of Kumiko Saiki’s Kageki Shoujo!! manga revealed a new promotional video for the anime. The video previews the ending theme song “Hoshi no Tabibito” by Sarasa Watanabe. Additionally, the website revealed that the anime will receive 13 episodes across four Blu-ray volumes. Kageki Shoujo!! is set to premiere on July 3.

The anime’s cast members include Kana Hanazawa as Hijiri Nojima, Mikako Komatsu as Risa Nakayama, Yuka Terasaki as Akemi Takei, Junichi Suwabe as Mamoru Ando, Kenji Nojima as Taichi Narata, Kengo Takanashi as Akiya Shirakawa, and Takehito Koyasu as Kōsaburō Shirakawa, Sayaka Senbongi as Sarasa Watanabe, Yumiri Hanamori as Ai Narata, Sumire Uesaka as Sawa Sugimoto, Yō Taichi as Kaoru Hoshino, Rico Sasaki as Ayako Yamada, Risae Matsuda as Chika Sawada, Satsumi Matsuda as Chiaki Sawada, and Hiroki Nanami as Sei Satomi. The three-member band saji will perform the opening theme song “Hoshi no Orchestra” (“Starry Orchestra”).

The anime’s main staff includes Kazuhiro Yoneda (Yona of the Dawn) as director, Tadashi Morishita (Yona of the Dawn) as series composer, Takahiro Kishida (Haikyuu!!) as character designer, Tsuneyoshi Saito (Fafner in the Azure) as music composer, Yasuji Sakagami (Durarara!!) as color designer, Yasuhiro Asagi (Gleipnir) as director of photography, Daisuke Imai (Ergo Proxy) as editor, Yukio Nagasaki (Akudama Drive) as sound director, Hiromichi Tanigawa (The Tatami Galaxy) as art director, and Miyuki Koga (Bakemonogatari) as prop designer. The animation production will be from PINE JAM, with music production from King Records.

Seven Seas Entertainment published Kageki Shoujo!!’s manga in English and describes its story as:

Like the Takarazuka Revue, the young women who go to the arts academy Kouka Kageki High School play all the parts of musical theater, be they female or male. Narada Ai is a jaded former idol performing female roles—her roommate, playing male roles, is bright-eyed country girl Watanabe Sarasa. From the school to the stage to the rest of their lives, there is no challenge these young women can’t face with their passion for performance.
