Welcome to Camalot.

A scion of the Kennedy family running for US Senate in Massachusetts is getting mocked for a campaign ad that committed a cardinal sin — misspelling the name of a prominent city two days before his primary election.

The Rep. Joe Kennedy III Sunday newspaper ad financed by Local 103 IBEW union said the Democratic candidate seeking to unseat Democratic Sen. Ed Markey in Tuesday’s Democratic primary is “For Worchester.”

One problem. It’s the City of Worcester — without the “h.”

Even more embarrassing is that the goof ran in an ad that was placed in Sunday’s Worcester Telegram & Gazette.

The primary race has become a battle royale with both candidates attracting star power endorsements.

Lefty Democratic socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and other progressives have endorsed Markey, first elected to the Senate in 2013 after serving in the House of Representatives for three decades.

Markey sponsors AOC’s Green New Deal legislation in the Senate.

Kennedy has attracted support from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and moderates, including pro-Israel Democrats.

A number of recent polls have given Markey an edge in the race, but a Kennedy has never lost a campaign for Congress in Massachusetts. Both candidates have wrestled with the safest way to hold campaign events during the pandemic. Recent polls show Markey leading Kennedy by 10 to 12 points.

Kennedy is grandson of Robert F. Kennedy and there are lingering parallels to this race.

In 1952, liberal Republican Henry Cabot Lodge Jr. was the long-established Massachusetts senator. But he lost his seat to a much younger Democrat who ran a campaign fueled by his family’s money, Joe Kennedy III’s great uncle: John F. Kennedy.

Markey campaign manager John Walsh tweeted, “On the bus today for the Leads and Delivers tour. We’re heading to Central Mass. Hey Lou (Antonellis of IBEW), very time I plug #Worchester into the GPS, it keeps coming up Enfield. Can any body help a guy out?”

Walsh cheekily misspelled Antonelli’s name.
