Jujutsu Kaisen 0 and Detective Conan: The Bride of Halloween have climbed up Kogyo Tsushin’s all-time Japanese box office ranking to reach the 14th and 68th spot respectively. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is listed with a domestic gross of 13.75 billion yen (~US$107.4 million), while The Bride of Halloween is listed with 8.35 billion yen (~US$65.2 million).

Jujutsu Kaisen 0‘s new ranking puts it ahead of the 2003 Tom Cruise movie The Last Samurai and directly behind Makoto Shinkai‘s Weathering With You. It is currently the 8th highest-grossing anime film in Japan.

In the weekend ranking (May 28 to May 29), The Bride of Halloween fell from 3rd place to 4th due to the arrival of the Tom Cruise blockbuster sequel Top Gun: Maverick. Meanwhile, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 made a return onto the charts in 8th place. May 29 was the last day of Jujutsu Kaisen 0‘s Japanese theatrical run, which began last December, as well as the date of a final stage greeting held at TOHO Cinemas Shinjuku and broadcasted live to 342 theaters.

Other anime films on the weekend ranking are The Quintessential Quintuplets movie in 3rd place and Crayon Shin-chan: Mononoke Ninja Chinpuden in 5th.
