“#Hiro Mashima, Square Enix’s Gate of Nightmares Game Inspires Manga”
Gate of Nightmares is a mobile RPG that had Fairy Tail and EDENS ZERO creator Hiro Mashima teaming up with Square Enix, scenario writer Jin Fujisawa (Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies), and composer Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail). The game originally launched in Japan on October 26, and now it has a manga adaptation on the way.
Credit for the original work goes to Square Enix and Hiro Mashima—who provided character designs and world-building for the project—and and the manga itself will be illustrated by Yoshinori Matsuoka. The first chapter will debut in the pages of Weekly Shonen Magazine on December 8, and the manga will be serialized starting on the same day via Square Enix’s Magazine Pocket app.
