It’s time to pour one out for “Jibun wo!” as the iconic opening from Code Geass will be replaced for the 15th anniversary broadcast of the series this October in Japan. Don’t worry though, the song will still play in our hearts and karaoke boxes.

Don’t fear, because FLOW is returning to perform the opening theme song once again, with TK from Ling tosite sigure performing the ending theme song. Both of the untitled singles (for now) were created with the team behind the original anime series and will have new animation.

The rebroadcast is all part of Code Geass‘ “Next 10years Project” which will see a brand new anime titled Code Geass: Z of the Recapture, which follows on from the film Lelouch of the Re;surrection. The original Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion TV anime series will air once again on the Animeism block on TBS / MBS from October 1, the exact same timeslot it aired in 15 years ago.
