The first preview images of upcoming Netflix movie Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery have been revealed, with Janelle Monáe among the cast members. The movie sees the return of Daniel Craig’s Benoit Blanc, first seen in 2019’s Knives Out, as he investigates a new case in Greece. The movie will be streaming from December 23.

IndieWire reports that the film features tech billionaire Miles Bron (Edward Norton), who “invites some of his nearest and dearest for a getaway on his private Greek island, it soon becomes clear that all is not perfect in paradise. And when someone turns up dead, well, who better than Blanc to peel back the layers of intrigue?”

In addition to Monáe, Norton, and Craig, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery will also star Ethan Hawke, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.

Monáe has increasingly focused on screen work since releasing their most recent album, Dirty Computer, in 2018. They have starred in the second season of TV series Homecoming as well as movies Harriet and Antebellum. In May it was reported that they will star as Josephine Baker in new series De La Resistance.
