The Ishura anime adaptation that was announced last month will be streamed worldwide on Disney+. 

More cast members were revealed as well in the form of Jun Fukuyama as Ars the Star Rider and Akio Ootsuka as Hargent the Silencer.

The Japanese TV broadcast start date for Ishura is set to be announced later.

Ishura is based on the KADOKAWA-published light novel series written by Keiso and illustrated by Kureta. Yen Press describes the plot as:

In a world where the Demon King has died, a host of demigods capable of felling him have inherited the world. A master fencer who can figure out how to take out their opponents with a single glance; a lancer so swift they can break the sound barrier; a wyvern rogue who fights with three legendary weapons at once; an all-powerful wizard who can speak thoughts into being; an angelic assassin who deals instant death. Eager to attain the title of “True Hero,” these champions each pursue challenges against formidable foes and spark conflicts among themselves. The battle to determine the mightiest of the mighty begins.

Yuuki Kaji and Reina Ueda were previously announced as the voices Sojiro the Willow-sword and Yuno the Distant Talon, respectively.

The Ishura light novel series is published under KADOKAWA’s Dengeki no Shinbungei label and is the winner of Kono Light Novel ga Sugai 2021’s tankoubon/novels category. It has inspired a manga adaptation by Meguri. The story began as a web novel in Kakuyomu in May 2017.
