#Kodak Black Vows To Be ‘Better’ After Dropping Surprise Album

Kodak Black has faced a lot of backlash in the past, but he’s now promised to change his ways in the wake of dropping a new project.

On Friday (November 10), Kodak released the 18-track album When I Was Dead — a follow-up to May’s Pistolz & Pearlz — with no advance warning.

Around the time of the album’s release, Kodak put out a livestream to deliver a message to his fans, saying that he was ready to turn over a new leaf.

“I vow to do better on any area I lack, or some slack needs to be picked up on,” he said. “I must do better. I must do this shit.”

He went on to express love for his supporters. “I appreciate y’all, because if it was up to them, I’d have been out of here,” he said.

His vow comes after fans recently expressed concern for Kodak’s wellbeing following his appearance last month onDrink Champs.

Viewers of the episode almost immediately began commenting on his body language and how it seemed visibly off.

“He needs help NOW!!!!!!! Omg this just broke my heart! How on earth can people be around him and watch him fall apart like this and not have him in rehab or something,” one commenter on social media wrote, while another added: “He look so unhealthy.”

Some were disappointed at N.O.R.E and co. for even having him on the show given his seemingly deteriorating state.

“Shouldn’t drop this video… what happened to uplifting the legends? This ain’t it,” one Instagram user commented, while another emphasized that further by saying it was “a new low” for the platform.

Wack 1oo responded to the chatter, saying that fans’ concerns were misplaced. “AINT NOTHING WRONG WITH @kodakblack,” he wrote in an Instagram post. “EITHER YOU UNDERSTAND HIM OR YOU DONT! MAN WAS FOCUSED AND BEING HISSELF. THE GREATS ALWAYS STAND ALONE!”
