#Indoor dining? Outdoor dining? Try mobile dining!

This couple is on a roll when it comes to supporting local restaurants during the pandemic.

Eager for a way to eat out while indoor dining is restricted in their part of Illinois, Doug and Kim White bought a table, some folding chairs and a nice red and white checkered table cloth and set them up in the back of a large van.

String up some cafe lights, document the exploits on social media and bam! Van_Dining was born.

“Having been in the industry, I know how hard it is for a restaurant to stay in business even without a pandemic threat,” Doug White wrote on Facebook back in October.

“We’ll do what we can to support our eateries,” he wrote.

“If you have a favorite restaurant you want to go to but the take out doesn’t travel so well, reach out to us and borrow the van!!!!!!! (only seats two).”

The Whites include reviews of their meals and information on how people can support local restaurants with each post. Van_Dining was even featured on the “Today Show.”
