Some quick news for fans of high school mysteries: Hyouka, the TV anime adaptation based on the light novel series by Honobu Yonezawa about a high school classic literature club that dabbles in solving problems, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special “film concert” performance in Saitama in January that includes voice actors and a theme song performer as guests.

 

The “Hyouka TV Anime 10th Anniversary Film Concert ~Kamiyama High’s Small Recital~” event will be held at the Japan Pavilion Hall A of the Tokorozawa Sakura Town venue in Saitama Prefecture on January 29, 2022 with a daytime performance at 1:45pm and an evening performance at 5:30pm.

 

The concert will be performed by the Kamiyama High Ensemble, and voice actors Satomi Sato (the voice of Eru Chitanda) and Daisuke Sakaguchi (the voice of Satoshi Fukube) as well as opening theme song performer ChouCho will appear as guests. Tickets range in price from 9900 yen (about $66.59 US) for reserved seating to 13,500 yen (about $90.80 US) for premium seating with a commemorative desktop calendar as a bonus gift.

Hyouka is directed by Yasuhiro Takemoto and features animation production by Kyoto Animation. Crunchyroll currently streams the series, and describes the story of it as follows:

 

After disenchanted student Hotaro Oreki joins his school’s Classic Lit Club, he meets Eru Chitanda, a kindhearted and inquisitive girl with boundless curiosity and a knack for getting him caught up in all sorts of trouble.
