#Horse Girls Sing Their Winning Songs in New Umamusume MV

August 24 marked the half-anniversary of Umamusume: Pretty Derby, the mobile game branch of the horse girl idol/racing media mix project from Cygames. To celebrate, the company has released a music video compilation of post-race performances starring Special Week and her fellow racetrack idols.

Umamusume revolves around Special Week, a horse girl in a universe where horse racing is equal parts athletics and idol activities. After each race, the runners show their appreciation for their trainers and fans by putting on a musical performance. The half-anniversary MV compiles moments from 14 fan favorites, including “YUME WO KAKERU!” and “winning the soul.”

Plus, you might be able to spot at least one horse girl who hasn’t yet debuted in the project.

Umamusume has been running hard since its premiere — outrunning Fate/Grand Order, Genshin Impact, and the Nintendo Switch as Twitter Japan’s #1 hashtag for the first half of 2021. The new video has fans in Japan even more hyped for what’s to come as the project continues.
