If you’re a Honkai: Star Rail player who recently acquired the enigmatic Fu Xuan, you’re in for a treat. The second phase of update 1.3 has introduced this character to the game, and she’s ready to join your team. But to make the most of her, you need to build her right. In this guide, we’ll show you the best way to build Fu Xuan, including her Light Cone, Relics, and more.

Fu Xuan’s Abilities Explained

Before diving into her build, let’s take a quick look at Fu Xuan’s abilities in Honkai Star: Rail.

She’s a five-star Quantum element character following the Path of The Preservation.
Her unique skill set revolves around protecting allies with shields and drawing enemy attention to tank damage, thanks to her substantial HP pool.
Currently, you can find her boosted in her own banner, titled “Foreseen, Foreknown, Foretold,” in the second phase of update 1.3.

Here’s the complete list of Fu Xuan’s abilities:

Novaburst (Basic attack): It deals Quantum damage to one enemy.
Known by Stars, Shown by Hearts (Skill): When activated, Matrix of Prescience spreads 65% of the damage received by other team members to Fu Xuan for three turns. Team members also gain the Knowledge effect during this time, increasing their Max HP and CRIT Rate by different amounts. If Fu Xuan gets knocked down, Matrix of Prescience ends.
Woes of Many Morphed to One (Ultimate): It inflicts Quantum damage on all enemies and adds one trigger count for Fu Xuan’s HP Restore effect from her Talent.
Bleak Breeds Bliss (Talent): While Fu Xuan is in battle, the entire team benefits from Misfortune Avoidance, reducing damage taken. When Fu Xuan’s HP drops to 50% or lower, she triggers HP Restore, healing a portion of her missing HP. This effect starts with one trigger count and can go up to two.
Of Fortune Comes Fate (Technique): After using this Technique, all team members gain a Barrier for 20 seconds, blocking all enemy attacks. The team won’t initiate combat when attacked. If the team enters battle during this state, Fu Xuan automatically activates Matrix of Prescience for two turns at the beginning of the battle.

Choosing the Right Relics

Longevous Disciple:

Two-piece bonus: Increases Max HP by 12%.
Four-piece bonus: When hit or HP consumed, CRIT Rate increases by 8% for two turns (up to two stacks).

While there’s no perfect Relic set for Fu Xuan, we recommend equipping her with two different two-piece sets for optimal results. Longevous Disciple is an excellent choice because it boosts her HP, a top priority for her survival.

Guard of Wuthering Snow:

Two-piece bonus: Reduces DMG taken by 8%.
Four-piece bonus: At the beginning of the turn, restores HP equal to 8% of Max HP and regenerates 5 Energy if HP is ≤ 50%.

Since Fu Xuan can distribute party-wide damage, using Guard of Wuthering Snow is wise. This two-piece set reduces the damage she takes, and a full set further enhances her abilities. Combining it with Longevous Disciple is a safe bet.

Passerby of Wandering Cloud:

Two-piece bonus: Increases Outgoing Healing by 10%.
Four-piece bonus: At the start, immediately recovers 1 Skill Point.

While Fu Xuan isn’t a healer, this Relic set can significantly improve her talents. Combining two pieces of Passerby of Wandering Cloud with Longevous Disciple ensures Fu Xuan stays alive in battle. If you lack alternatives, the four-piece bonus of Passerby of Wandering Cloud can also be effective.

Choosing the Right Light Cone

Fu Xuan’s signature Light Cone, “She Already Shut Her Eyes,” is an excellent choice for her.

It boosts her Max HP and Energy Regeneration Rate.
Moreover, when her HP drops, it increases all allies’ DMG dealt for two turns.
At the start of each wave, it even restores HP to all allies. A perfect fit for her role.

Another great option is “Moment of Victory”, Gepard’s signature Light Cone.

It enhances DEF and Effect Hit Rate while increasing the likelihood of Fu Xuan being targeted by enemies.
When attacked, her DEF receives an extra boost until her turn ends, effectively making her a formidable tank.

“We Are Wildfire” is also worth considering.

It initially reduces DMG to all allies for five turns and immediately restores some HP to the team. This Light Cone bolsters Fu Xuan’s healing capabilities.

In essence, most Preservation Light Cones work well with Fu Xuan. Alternatives like Defense, Texture of Memories, Trend of the Universal Market, or Landau’s Choice can be suitable if you don’t have her signature Light Cone.
