In addition to the advance digital distribution of the song starting on Saturday, the three-member Japanese rock band HITORIE has also posted a full music video for their fifth single song “3 min 29 sec” on their official YouTube channel. The aggressive rock tune is now featured as the OP theme for the spring 2021 TV anime 86 EIGHTY-SIX.
“3 min and 29 sec” is HITORIE’s first single featuring Shinoda (guitar) as its main vocalist after its original vocalist wowaka’s passing in 2019. Its music video was directed by Hidenobu Tanabe, known for his MV works for Aimyon, AKB48, Official HIGE DANdism, BABYMETAL, and Momoiro Clover Z. It combines the band’s solid performance in the ruins and fantastic lighting.
The CD single of “3 min and 29 sec” is set to be released on June 2, 2021.

The TV anime adaptation of Asato Asato’s sci-fi novel 86 EIGHTY-SIX premiered in Japan on April 11, 2021, and has been simulcast on Crunchyroll to its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East, and CIS.
