#Hikaru Utada Performs EVANGELION:3.0+1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME Theme Song, Release Date Announced

Milan Records announced that it will release the recently announced theme song for EVANGELION:3.0+1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME and additional songs in January 27, 2021. Hikaru Utada is returning to perform the theme song titled “ONE LAST KISS.” She previously performed the theme songs for Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone, Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance, and Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.

The album tracklist includes:

“One Last Kiss” （The theme song of “EVANGELION:3.0+1.0 THRICE UPON A TIME.”）
“Beautiful World” (The theme song of “Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone.”)
“Beautiful World -PLANiTb Acoustica Mix-” (The theme song of “Evangelion: 2.0 You Can (Not) Advance.”)
“Sakura Nagashi” (The theme song of “Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo.”)
“Fly Me To The Moon (In Other Words) -2007 MIX-“ (Trailer introduces insert song of “Evangelion: 1.0 You Are (Not) Alone.”)

Additional songs will also be announced at a later date.

Utada recently collaborated with Skrillex to perform the theme song for Kingdom Hearts III titled “Face My Fears.”

The fourth and final film of the Rebuild of Evangelion film series was previously scheduled for June 27, 2020 in Japan, but is currently delayed to January 23, 2021 due to COVID-19. Studio Khara is in charge of animation production. Key staff includes Hideaki Anno as chief director and scriptwriter, Yoshiyuki Sadamoto as the original character designer, Yusuke Matsui as 3D animation director, and Shiro Sagisu as the music composer.
