#HIDIVE Licenses Whisper Me a Love Song for Spring 2024 Season
HIDIVE has announced that it has licensed the upcoming new romance series Whisper Me a Love Song as an exclusive simulcast during its Spring 2024 season. The anime series is set to debut on April 14, 2024.
HIDIVE will also host the North American premiere of Whisper Me a Love Song on March 29, 2024 at Anime Boston 2024.
The anime series was originally supposed to debut earlier this January, but was delayed due to “various circumstances.” Following the delay, Akira Mano (Ghost Hunt, Gunslinger Girl: -Il Teatrino-) was announced to be replacing Xinya Cai (The Genius Prince’s Guide to Raising a Nation Out of Debt assistant director) as director, with an official statement saying that Cai’s health was the reason for the change. Additionally, Yokohama Animation Lab went from being the animation production supervisor to sharing animation production credits with CLOUDHEARTS.
Other staff members include Hiroki Uchida (Requiem of the Rose King) as series screenwriter, Minami Yoshida (Manaria Friends) as character designer, Ryunosuke Oji (Legend of Mana: The Teardrop Crystal sub-character designer) as sub-character designer and costume designer, and Hiroshi Sasaki and Wataru Maeguchi as music composers.
Meanwhile, the anime’s voice cast includes:

- • Konomi Kohara as Mari Tsutsui
- • Ai Kakuma as Kaori Tachibana

- • Sui Mizukami as Shiho (singing voice)
The anime series is based on the manga by Eku Takeshima, which began serialization in Ichijinsha’s Comic Yuri Hime on February 18, 2019 and has released eight tankoubon volumes as of July 2023. A ninth volume is set for release on March 18, 2024.
HIDIVE describes the synopsis of Whisper Me A Love Song as:
After performing a song at her school’s opening ceremony, musician Yori Asanagi receives an apparent love confession from freshman Himari Kino. But just as Yori decides she wants to return Himari’s feelings, Himari reveals that she did not “love” her, but “admires” her! But you can’t unring a bell once struck, and Yori is determined to make Himari fall for her, not just her music. Will their hearts ever beat as one, or will their love fall out of tune?
