A new key visual has been published for I’m Standing on a Million Lives (known in Japan as Hyakuman no Inochi no Ue ni Ore wa Tatteiru), an ongoing TV anime based on the dark isekai fantasy manga written by Naoki Yamakawa and illustrated by Akinari Nao about an anti-social young man who finds himself transported into a JRPG-like magical environment with a seemingly weak character class.

A new key visual for the I'm Standing on a Million Lives TV anime, featuring the hero party facing off against a horde of hobgoblins, beastmen, and dragons as they pose dramatically in front of the caldera of an extinct volcano that has formed a bowl-shaped valley filled with forest and ruins.

The new key visual (above) features the new hero, Glenda (CV: Saori Hayami), and serves as a lead-up for the 6th “new game+” quest, in which the anime version will differ from the manga. I’m Standing on a Million Lives is directed by Kumiko Habara and features animation production by Maho Film. Crunchyroll describes the story of the series as follows:

Aloof and logical middle school third-year Yusuke Yotsuya is transported to a game-like alternate world. He becomes a third player and takes on a dangerous quest with his classmates Iu Shindo and Kusue Hakozaki, who were transported there earlier. The cold Yusuke eschews emotionalism and examines all elements with detachment, sometimes even toying with the lives of his companions. Can he protect his party from attacking monsters, difficult incidents, and powerful scheming enemies and win the game?
