#Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi Previews Characters and Stylized Visuals In New Trailer

The anime adaptation of the Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi dark fantasy manga has received its second trailer, which offers a preview of its deity protagonists and its stylized use of colors. The trailer also reveals a July 22 premiere date.

The Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi (roughly meaning The Idaten of the Peaceful Generation) anime also dropped details about its staff and cast. Directing the show is Seimei Kidokoro (Haikara-san ga Tooru Movie Kōhen: Hana no Tokyo Dai Roman), while Hiroshi Seko (Levius) and Nao Ōtsu (Beastars) are the series composer/scriptwriter and character designer respectively. Meanwhile, the cast includes Romi Park as Hayato, Megumi Ogata as Isley, Yui Horie as Paula, and Akemi Okamura as Rin. MAPPA was previously revealed as the animation production studio. 

The Heion Sedai no Idaten-tachi manga written by Interspecies Reviewers‘s Amahara and drawn by Coolkyousinnjya began in 2018 and is serialized in Young Animal. Three tankōbon volumes have been released as of August 2020. The first trailer for the anime adaptation was released in November 2020.

The story is set 800 years after mankind is saved from extinction at the hands of demons by the sudden appearance of gods of war called Idaten. The defeated demons are now making a return, but the Idaten that await them are those who were born in an era of peace and have no experience in battle.
