Grand Theft Auto series is one of the biggest phenomena in the gaming world in the past two decades. Rockstar Games has achieved through GTA, which most publishers only dream to achieve. Late millennials and Generation Z, especially, have grown up with the GTA series and it has become an inseparable part of their lives.

GTA 1 and 2 established the series as a boss in the gaming world; GTA 5 took it to unprecedented heights. Last month, we updated you about how GTA III, GTA: Vice City, and GTA: San Andreas might be getting remastered for the latest consoles. With their massive open-world and intriguing storylines, they very well deserve the remastered versions. It seems like now it has been confirmed.

The Definitive Edition

Keen eyed users spotted a listing for Grand Theft Auto: Trilogy – The Definitive Edition on South Korea’s game rating board’s site. An insider, Nibellion, reported that the game has received a “Youth not allowed” rating in Korea, which basically means 18+. The trilogy has been listed as an action game series as expected.

Korean rating board is responsible for providing ratings for any game which is made legally available in the country. This means that Rockstar Games must have sent an application for approval of the trilogy to the board. So, it is now pretty much confirmed that the GTA Remasters Trilogy is happening; will be called GTA Trilogy: The Definitive Edition.

GTA Remasters Might Take Longer Than Expected According To Insider

Rumors surrounding it were increasing day by day and it is now finally safe to assume this is happening. An official confirmation from the developers will arrive very soon now as it seems like the trilogy is set to release real soon. Though it was earlier reported that it might be delayed to 2022, now it seems closer.

Also, according to the latest leaks, GTA 6 is also about to receive its very first teaser/trailer in November next month. One thing is for sure that 2022 is going to be a really good year for the Grand Theft Auto fans!
