“GKIDS To Screen Goodbye, Don Glees! In North American Theaters For Three Nights in September”

GKIDS has announced that it will screen Goodbye, Don Glees! in North American theaters on September 14, 18, and 20 in Fall 2022. The company has also revealed the respective Japanese and English voice cast for the film. 

The film’s voice cast consists of Natsuki Hanae and Adam McArthur as Roma, Yuuki Kaji and Nick Wolfhard as Toto, Ayumu Murase and Jonathan Leon as Drop, and Kana Hanazawa and Victoria Grace as Tivoli.

Goodbye, Don Glees! is directed and written by Atsuko Ishizuka (A Place Further Than the Universe and No Game No Life director). Other staff members include Takahiro Yoshimatsu (A Place Further Than the Universe, Hunter × Hunter) as character designer, Ayano Okamoto (Mieruko-chan) as art director, Harue Ohno (A Place Further Than the Universe) as color designer, Yuuki Kawashita (Don’t Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro) as photography director, and Yoshiaki Fujisawa (A Place Further Than the Universe) as music composer. Madhouse is handling the film’s animation production. 

GKIDS describes the coming-of-age adventure film as:

Three teen misfits call themselves the “Don Glees.” When the trio gets blamed for a forest fire, they set off into the woods to prove their innocence. Tensions flare as the friends realize that growing up has taken them on wildly different paths in life.
