Future has had a new tattoo of Bob Marley done on his leg which already includes some pretty legendary inked up figures.

Footage of the Atlanta rap star’s latest tattoo session surfaced online earlier this week. The clip opens with Future Hendrix sitting on a couch while the tattoo artist works on the new ink set.

Future is seen on a FaceTime call during the session and he shows his friend the work that artist Steve is doing. At one point, Future says he wants to add more to his collection of tats and can be heard stating, “put Take on there,” seemingly a reference to late Migos member TakeOff, who was shot and killed in November 2022.

The Atlanta native already has an assortment of tattoos on his body. However, his leg seems to be an essential spot given the tats he already has there, including images of Dr. Martin Luther King’s 1956 mugshot, the continent of Africa and the logo of Future’s label, Freebandz, all of which are next to the new Bob Marley ink.

Future has been having a great start to the year. In addition to getting a new tattoo, he opened 2023 by dropping the official music video for “Back To Basics” from his latest album, I NEVER LIKED YOU. He also embarked on his One Big Party tour, which kicked off January 7 in Houston and ended on January 27 in Boston, and he landed a guest spot on Trippie Redd’s new album MANSION MUSIK which was released earlier this month.

One of the biggest moments with Future this year came when he teased that a joint album with Metro Boomin was on the way.

The 39-year-old took to his Instagram Story to share a post from another Instagram account claiming the pair are prepping a joint project. Included in the post were photos of Future and Metro together, along with a video of Metro hinting at them reuniting for more than just a few songs.

The clip came from the Grammy-winning producer’s interview with Ebro Darden last month, where he explained why he didn’t appear on I NEVER LIKED YOU. According to Metro, he was supposed to have produced some songs on the album but figured it would be better if they recorded a full project together.

“[Future] actually finished most of the album at my studio in LA,” he said. “That’s my brother, but we’re working on some things. At first, we were going to put a couple of songs with me and him on the album, but we had took them off because I had talked to him.”

He continued: “I was like, ‘Look, the last time anybody’s really heard a song from me and you was ‘Mask Off.’ So instead of us randomly throwing one or two songs we did on here, we got to wait and just give them a joint.’”
