#Fully vaccinated guests will no longer need to wear mask to Disneyland

Fully vaccinated guests at Disneyland will no longer be required to wear masks starting Tuesday as the Anaheim, Calif.-based theme park reopens to everyone.

Visitors who aren’t fully vaccinated must continue wearing a mask indoors, but Disneyland won’t require a proof of vaccination. Instead, guests will be asked to “self-attest that they are in compliance prior to entry,” the resort said on its blog Monday.

The resort is also doing away with on-site temperature checks and social distancing requirements. It will “allow guests to self-determine distancing.”

Tuesday’s reopening marks the first time that out-of-state guests can visit the park since it was shuttered in mid-March last year to help stem the spread of the coronavirus. Disneyland and California Adventure reopened only for California residents on April 30 of this year.

Since then, Disneyland has been taking cues from state officials and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on COVID-19 safety regulations. On Tuesday, California will also lift most of its pandemic restrictions for vaccinated individuals, such as mask wearing and social distancing.

Disneyland will retain some safety protocols, such as mask requirements for children age 2 and up who are not fully vaccinated.

Additionally, all guests, vaccinated or not, will be required to mask up on bus transportation to and from the parking lot to the parks starting on June 18.

The theme park will also continue to require visitors to make reservations to enter. And the resort is retaining capacity limitations for Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel, which will reopen on June 15, and The Disneyland Hotel, which reopens on July 2.
