It hasn’t been our day, our week, our month or even our year.

But eventually we’ll be able to have a reunion with “Friends.”

The “Friends” reunion special, which was set to air alongside the launch of the streaming platform HBO Max in May, had production pushed back because of the coronavirus pandemic. But now the highly anticipated show, which ran for 10 seasons, is getting back on schedule.

“We are hoping to be able to shoot in August, if all is well and there is no early second wave and the studio is open,” Marta Kauffman, who created the hit sitcom along with David Crane tells the Wrap. All of the original cast members — Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry, are set to make appearances on the yet untitled show, which will also be unscripted.

The cast will reconvene on the same lot where they filmed 236 episodes of the show for NBC starting in 1994: Stage 24 of the Warner Bros. Studio lot in Burbank, California. The news comes after Kauffman tearfully admitted that she didn’t do enough to promote diversity on her shows.

A lot has happened since “The Last One.” Will Rachel, played by Aniston, cave and sign up for an Instagram account? Will Perry, now 50, indulge in his new habit of pantsless cookie-eating on air?

At least fans can exhale knowing their favorite show was able to work with the disrupted schedule and, in the immortal words of Ross Geller, “Pivot!”
