#Forest Swords announces new album, shares two tracks

Forest Swords has announced details of Bolted, his first album since 2017. Today’s album announcement is accompanied by “The Low” and “Caged,” two tracks from the album. They follow “Butterfly Effect” and “Tar,” which were released in July.

Bolted is Forest Swords’s third studio album and the first from the Liverpool-based artist released Compassion six years ago. It will be released on October 20 via Ninja Tune.

In a press statement, he explained that “The Low” began life intended for another artist: “‘The Low’ was based on a beat I’d originally intended for Yoko Ono, and features elements I made both at the start and end of the album, so ties together a lot of the sounds and emotions I was exploring during the writing process. The accompanying video directed with Sam Wiehl expands on some of my artwork and visual world that accompanies the record.”
